Karachi (November 14, 2018): Father of the two children who died due to food poising in Karachi after dining at a famous restaurant in Defence, Zamzama street filed an FIR today.
According to details, father of the two kids who reportedly died on Sunday afternoon (November 11) filed an FIR today at Clifton Police Station in Karachi.

As per ASP Clifton, the initial details in FIR will be added over the article ‘Murder by Error’ and further details will be made part of the FIR as the investigation over the case prevails.
Earlier yesterday (November 13), samples of more than 30 items from the residence of the bereaved family were taken and sent to a laboratory for chemical analysis. The home was consequently sealed.
The restaurant was sealed for forensic investigation, a post-mortem of the two children was completed Sunday night.

SSP Investigation, South Zone Tariq Dhaejo told that the police collected all evidence in the case and sent them to the lab in Lahore. Dr Shiraz, the medico-legal officer (MLO) at Jinnah Hospital, said that the brothers apparently died due to food poisoning.
He said a report subsequent to the deceased children’s post-mortem had been reserved and samples from the bodies and blood specimens were and sent to a laboratory for analysis. The chemical analysis report from body samples and blood specimens would be released in approximately 5-10 days, Dr Shiraz mentioned, after which the final cause of death could be ascertained.
The Case
Two kids, a one-and-a-half-year-old and a five-year-old, died on Sunday afternoon reportedly due to food poisoning after having a meal from a famous restaurant in Defence, Zamzama street.
A family dined out on a Sunday night (November 11) at a famous restaurant located in Defence Housing Authority’s (DHA) Zamzama area in Phase V and consumed fries and sweets from Chunky Monkey amusement park located in Phase IV, DHA. According to SSP South Pir Muhammed Shah, the victims’ mother was also rushed to the hospital and is currently under treatment at the South City Hospital in Clifton.
Police initiated the probe into the matter and both facilities were sealed for forensic investigations.
