China Conducts First Energy Car Crash

Tianjin(January 02, 2018): A new energy vehicle (NEV) crash test was conducted for the first time in public in North China’s Tianjin Municipality.

The test was conducted between an electrical car and a heavy duty truck where the former was tested as it crashed into the truck at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour.

The car’s front received the maximum impact and was completely destroyed in the crash. The passenger compartment received less impact and wasn’t deformed as such. The door could be opened normally despite the crash, allowing the passengers to find an escape route.

The safety belts and airbags provided a good protection to the passengers in the seat. The seats were very much in place and did not slide out of their place.
