China has invited British Prime Minister Theresa May to attend the Silk Road summit titled “One Belt, One Road” in May.
According to foreign news agency “One Belt, One Road” is the landmark initiative of Chinese President Xi Jinping that comprise investing billions of dollars in infrastructure projects including railways, ports and power grids across Asia, Africa and Europe.
China has allocated $ 40 billion to a Silk Road Fund.
Official China Daily quoted China’s top diplomat State Councillor Yang Jiechi as saying last week that leaders from about 20 countries have confirmed their participation, representing Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America. He, however, though he did not mentioned the names of those 20 countries.
