BEIJING: Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi has referred to Pakistan as the country’s iron brothers in the future of both nations.
In a press briefing in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister said that said Pakistan and China can create a better future through cooperation.
He said, “We [Pakistan and China] can create a better future through cooperation when confrontation gives way to dialogue and disagreements are settled by goodwill”.
Wang Yi also asserted China’s ‘constructive role’ in defusing tensions between Pakistan and India.
He said that New Delhi and Islamabad should meet each other halfway to de-escalate the crisis, portraying China’s role as a balancing act between its nuclear-armed neighbours.
