ISLAMABAD: Wang Qishan, Vice President of the People’s Republic of China on Sunday arrived in Pakistan on a three days long official visit.
As per details, the visiting Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan was welcomed by the Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Federal Minister for Planning Khushro Bakhtiar upon his arrival.
The visiting Vice President will meet the President of Pakistan and Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss important affairs pertaining to the China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) and matters of mutual interest.
Wang will stay in Pakistan for three days from May 26 to 28.
According to Foreign Office, Wang Qishan is an important member of the Foreign Affairs section of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and this visit will increase the contacts between the two nations.
The visiting Vice President will meet the President of Pakistan and Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss affairs pertaining to mutual interest and will sign several Memorandums of Unity (MoUs) during his visit, added Foreign Office.
On the other hands, amid the chances of his visit in Lahore on May 27, the Punjab government has announced a public holiday in honour to the visiting guest.
