Missing Persons Case: DG Rangers , IG Summoned In SC

Karachi (June 24, 2018): The Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has summoned Director General Rangers Sindh and IG Sindh today, in Karachi.

According to the details the Chief Justice Saqib Nisar summoned DG Rangers Sindh Major General Muhammad Saeed, IG police and provincial heads of ISI, MI and IB on Sunday(today) in missing persons’ case.

 Earlier, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar visited session court and government hospitals in Sindh.He expressed anger at an additional district and sessions court judge and ordered his immediate transfer.

During a surprise visit to the sessions court in Larkana, Justice Nisar expressed anger after he spotted the mobile phone of Additional District and Sessions Judge Shyam Lal on his desk.

The chief justice picked up the mobile phone of Judge Lal and threw it on his desk. The CJP warned the sessions judge to leave his mobile phone in his room during hearings.Justice Nisar also questioned the judge regarding the case that was being heard. However, Judge Lal failed to provide satisfactory answers angering the chief justice.

Ordering his immediate transfer, the chief justice remarked, “We cannot compromise on judicial respect.”

Justice Nisar was accompanied by Sindh High Court Chief Justice Ahmed Ali Shaikh during the visit.Meanwhile, the Chief Justice also visited Government hospital Sukkur, Chandka Medical College Hospital Larkana and Sheikh Zayed Women’s Hospital, Larkana and met the patients and heard their complaints.

He expressed his dissatisfaction over the dreadful situation of hygiene and cleanliness in the hospitals and directed the administration to improve it.

Taking notice of the dearth of services to the general public at the hospitals, the Chief Justice directed Chief Secretary and Secretary Health Sindh to submit a detailed report about deficiencies and demands of hospitals by next Monday.
