ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa on Tuesday stated that fake bank accounts cannot be opened in a bank unless any of bank employee is involved in the process.
These remarks were uttered by the top judge during hearing an accused’s plea seeking suspension of sentence in a case pertaining to the opening of fake accounts.
A three-judge Supreme Court bench heard the plea of accused namely Mohammad Anwer.
During the course of proceedings, Chief Justice Asif Khosa remarked: “Creating fake accounts for transactions is an extremely serious crime.”
The court then concluded the case as the suspect himself withdrew his application from the Apex court.
