ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa on Wednesday asserted that none of the involved parties in the case should be given more respite in future that leads to unnecessary adjournment of hearings.
These remarks were uttered by the Supreme Judge while hearing a murder case via video link, connecting the principal seat to Quetta Registry.
“Cases are fixed for the purpose of hearing them, not for abeyance. No where in the world the practice of adjournment is encouraged. From onwards, no one will be allowed to delay the cases”, CJP Khosa stated.
He added that the court will have to acquit suspects when testimonies will be weak.
