Lahore (June 10, 2018): Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Saqib Nisar on Sunday has said that he will not accept any post after his retirement.
Hearing case pertaining payments by the sugar mills CJP said, I will advise everyone not to offer me any post after my retirement.

CJP said what’s wrong if I’m going to hospitals for the betterment of masses? No toilet is available in 6000 schools of girls in Balohictan, he added.
CJP said that constitution and law are supreme, we have right of judicial review.
Earlier today, CJP had ordered that Justice Asif Saeed Khosa will hear the appeal against Lahore High Court’s (LHC) acquittal of a man earlier convicted for brutally attacking law student Khadija Siddiqui with a knife.
A two-member bench headed by CJP, heard the Khadija stabbing case.

During the hearing of the case today, the CJP questioned Hussain’s father, “How did you run a campaign against the apex court?”
“Had something similar happened to the daughter of a lawyer, would your attitude have been the same?” he further asked him.
Meanwhile, Khadija informed the court, “I have become a target of the character assassination.
Justice should be done in my case,” she asserted.
Earlier, Supreme Court granted accountability court a one-month extension for the hearing of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) references against Sharif family.
The case to increase the deadline of the NAB References filed by the AC, was heard by the two-member bench of the SC, headed by CJP.

During the proceeding, the petitioner said that concluding remarks are underway in Avenfield reference, Wajid Zia is being prosecuted in Al Azizia reference while the statement of investigation officer is yet to be recorded.
The verdict in the case cannot be declared yet, therefore, the extension is needed, he added.
