PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Mahmood Khan on Tuesday challenged critics to prove corruption in Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project.
“Director-General Peshawar Development Authority (DG PDA) is responsible for the delay in BRT project,” he said while addressing media during the Clean and Green program ceremony in Peshawar.
He said that the BRT project is competing with the cost of Rs67 Billion, adding that people will realise the importance of the project after the completion.
Earlier on April, 06 a BRT bus claimed the life of a woman in a test drive by a driver. The woman was injured in the accident near Hayatabad phase three and shifted to the Hayatabad medical complex while she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
Police said that the woman was crossing the road as she hit by the BRT bus during its test drive.
The provincial government taking notice of the incident has sought a report from the deputy commissioner.
