LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzadar has approved in principle to increase allowances of the police of the province.
Chief Minister Punjab on Wednesday chaired a high-level huddle attended by provincial law minister Raja Basharat, Chief Secretary, Inspector General (IG) police, secretary finance, and other high hi-ups.
Addressing the meeting, the CM Punjab said that police will be provided equipment as per the modern needs in the fight against terrorism and crime.
He said that he appreciated the police sacrifices in the fight against the terrorism and the crime but it needs to show more improved performance adding that old era has passed while old practices will not be acceptable in the new Pakistan urging that every citizen of the province is respectable.
The CM instructed the police officials to behave with the masses in a good manner adding that safeguarding people’s life and property and valuable not only a duty but also a matter of reward from God.
