CM Punjab, Chairman Senate Condemn Quetta Blast

Lahore/Islamabad  (June 23, 2017): Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani strongly condemned Quetta blast that killed at least six people and injured several other.

In their separate condemnation statements, they expressed their deep regret over loss of precious lives.

They also expressed sympathies with the families of victims.

They prayed for quick recovery of those injured in the blast.

It is to be mentioned here that at least nine people were killed and several other injured when a powerful blast went off near IG Office at Shuhada Chowk in Quetta.

The blast was so powerful it was heard in far off areas. The blast damaged nearby buildings and several vehicles.

Rescue sources said that at least nine people were killed in the blast and several other injured. The deceased include a policeman and 10-year old minor girl.

Soon after the blast security forces personnel rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. Rescue workers also rushed to the blast site and started shitting the injured to nearby hospitals.
