LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that Police reforms in the department are need of the hour and directed to speed up the reform process.
Chairing a high-level meeting in Lahore on Monday, he said that thana culture and behaviour of the police officers towards the public should be changed.
The meeting was attended by the provincial law minister Raja Bahsarat, chief secretary, additional chief secretary and other high-level officials.
Addressing to meeting he said that the improvement in the police system and dispensation of justice to the oppressed is the top priority of the present government.
“We will not bear other than law conduct with the complainant as police should behave them with a soft tune and good behaviour,” he said adding that government will enrich the police with modernize equipment.
CM Punjab alleged that previous rules used the police to comply with their interests but PTI government is attempting to end the obsolete system and will turn it public friendly.
