Rajunpur: Chief Minister Punjab on Thursday inaugurated reaping of the wheat crops in his home town Rojhan, a tehsil of Rajanpur.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM Punjab said that he will oversee wheat purchase by himself. After the inauguration, Usman Buzdar also visited the wheat purchase center.
At the center, the CM was briefed on the wheat purchase policy while he announced that the Punjab government will purchase 35 lakh metric tons of wheat this year adding that the farmers will be given the full price of their hard work.
He said that the wheat will be purchased from the farmers on a rate of Rs 1400 per 40 Kg (mun).
Usman Buzdar said that special Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have been issued in the wake of the coronavirus for the wheat purchase campaign.
