Lahore (March 20, 2018): Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday departed for London for his regular medical check-up.
CM Shehbaz left for London from Allama Iqbal International Airport at 1:30PM. He is expected to return on early morning April 1.
Shehbaz will also inquire into the health of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s wife, and his sister-in-law, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and would also met the party leaders in United Kingdom.
He would also consult the party leaders regarding the overseas setups of the party specially that of the UK as now after becoming the President of the PML-N he is entitled to make appointments on the party posts on overseas.

Soon after being elected as PML-N President on March 13, Shehbaz Sharif said that Nawaz Sharif is, was and will remain the party’s quaid (supremo).
Addressing the meeting, Shehbaz thanked Nawaz, his brother, for entrusting the important party position to him.
“The world knows that injustice was served to our leader Nawaz,” Shehbaz told the party workers, “but I believe he will get justice.”
The PML-N president also lashed out at political opponents, saying they have done nothing but make tall claims while the government actually delivered to the people.
The day would come when this injustice would be addressed, he said adding that today was not a day to revive congratulations but a heavy day for him to sit on a place which was a place of his quaid Nawaz Sharif.
