Karachi (April 14, 2018): Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday met with the Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair Umar and discussed the ongoing political situation in the province.
It is pertinent to mention here that the newly elected PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif is visiting the Sindh province and other than attending a workers convention in Karachi, he would also meet the party leaders and activists of the province and would further mull over the strategy to take forward the journey of party in the province before the upcoming polls.
As per details, Shehbaz Sharif discussed the law and order situation, economic activities and progress and other important issues pertaining to the Sindh province with the governor Sindh.Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister Punjab said that the PML-N has a vision of serving the masses and launching uplift projects and the way they had build Punjab on the vision would also be followed in Sindh province if given a chance to serve the masses here.
Speaking on the occasion, governor Sindh said that the improvement in law and order situation and energy needs is due to the efforts of the federal government and all of them had to work jointly for the prosperity of the country.
He said that Karachi is economic hub of the country and any adverse activity in the metropolis affects the country’s economy but the improved law and order and energy requirements is making it more attractive for investment activity.CM Punjab also met with a delegation of lawyers, headed by former Supreme Court Bar Association president Yasin Azaad, at the Governor House.
While addressing the delegation, Shehbaz praised the contribution of the lawyers’ community towards the country’s progress. “Lawyer community ran a great movement for restoration of democracy,” said Shehbaz, adding “lawyers play a significant role in dispensing justice to ordinary citizens.”
No society can progress without justice and law, he asserted.

Shehbaz also remarked that he will improve the conditions in Karachi if given the chance after the upcoming general elections, which are expected to be held in late July or early August.
“People in Karachi are being denied basic facilities, we have to bring lights back to the city,” Shehbaz said.
During his day-long visit, Shehbaz is also expected to address a workers’ convention and hold meetings with members of the party’s Sindh and Karachi chapters as well as media personnel.

Earlier in a tweet from the chief minister Punjab soon after landing at the Karachi airport, said that the PML-N had revived the peace of the city and now it would provide basic facilities to the province.
