Government of Sindh has decided to take vital initiatives for security of China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) while Chief Minister Sindh said that the CPEC will lead to the country to path of development and progress adding that the CPEC security is matter of vital importance.
A high level meeting was held in chair of CM Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah regarding security of the CPEC. The meeting was attended by chief secretary Siddiq Memon, law adviser, Murtaza Wahab, home secretary, Inspector General Sindh (IG, Sindh) AD Khawaja and others high officials.
The IG Sindh, home secretary gave briefing over the CPEC security in the province. On the occasion, the CM said that the CPEC will take Pakistan to new paths of development and prosperity, henceforth, its security is of vital importance and being given importance.
A separate special security division has been formed by the federal government for the CPEC which will be having six wings and it will be consisted up 4500 army and civil personnel while as many as 9000 personnel of army’s 9 infantry combat battalion will be deputed to the security of the CPEC.
The CM Sindh also directed to collect complete data of Chinese people.
