CM Sindh Reviews Law, Order Situation

Karachi (August 19, 2018): Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Sunday chairing meeting regarding law and order situation.

IG Sindh, Amjad Javed Saleemi, Additional IG, Ameer Shaikh and others are attending the session.

IG Sindh briefed CM Sindh about law and order situation during the meeting.

CM Sindh directed police officials to send him report regarding street crimes on daily basis, end of street crime is a prime priority, said CM Murad Ali Shah.

Earlier today, newly-elected Sindh’s Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah was presented guard of honor upon his arrival at the Chief Minister House.

The CM inspected the honour and was then introduced to the staff of the House.

Earlier on August 17, Syed Murad Ali Shah received second consecutive term at serving as the Sindh Chief Minister as he took oath of his office at Governor House.

Acting Governor Agha Siraj Durrani administered the oath to the 33rd Chief Minister of Sindh and other cabinet members.

The ceremony was attended by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PPP MNAs and MPAs, diplomats, representatives of business community and others.

The chief minister secured his earlier position with 97 votes against opponent Shaharyar Mahar who bagged 61 votes on Grand Democratic Alliance’s ticket.

Earlier on August 16, Pakistan Peoples Party’s candidate Murad Ali Shah was re-elected as Chief Minister of Sindh.

During the session chaired by newly-elected Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, members of provincial assembly cast the votes for their favorite candidate.

After the counting, PPP’s Murad Ali Shah was declared victorious with 97 votes while opposition’s candidate Shahryar Mahar faced defeat.
