CMs Agree In Principally To Shut Markets At 8:30 PM To Tackle Energy Crisis In Country

Islamabad: National Economic Council (NEC) has principally agreed that all the markets across the country be closed at 8:30 pm as the council completed important consultation over saving of energy measures.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif presided the NEC meeting while Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Hamza Shahbaz, CM Punjab, CM Baluchistan Abdul Qudoos Bazenjo while chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Dr Shahzad Khan Bungash represented his province.

All the chief ministers of the country were consulted over a national strategy to tackle energy crisis in the country.

The meeting were also apprised about decisions and suggestions regarding saving of energy taken in federal cabinet meeting held on June 7.

All the provinces represented by chief ministers in principally agreed to shut markets across the provinces at 8:30 pm.

Meanwhile, Sindh. Punjab and Baluchistan sought two days time so that each province could complete consultation to their business and traders community in this regard.
