RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday visited Kashmir Regiment center.
According to Pakistan army media wing (ISPR), Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa appointed Left Gen Sher Afgan as colonel commandant of AK regiment.
The ceremony attended by scores of existing and retired officer and soldiers.
Addressing the ceremony, the COAS paid rich tribute to Azad Kashmir Regiment over its sacrifices rendered in the defence of the country adding that Azad Regiment actively defended the homeland in the war against terrorism and routine wars.
At the occasion, the COAS also presented a floral wreath at martyrs’ monument.
