ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet has approved the names of the National Development Council (NDC) as the army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will also be the member of the council.
A notification has been issued in this connection.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday, the council will be headed by Prime Minister Imran Khan and will also include the foreign minister and advisor on finance.
The council will aim at setting policies and strategies for development and provide guidelines for regional cooperation.
Some of the key government members in the council include Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Planning and Development Khusro Bakhtiar and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Dr Hafeez Sheikh.
The chief ministers of all four provinces, PM if Azad Kashmir, CM Gilgit-Baltistan
will also be part of the council.
