Cold wave, fog continue in most areas

MULTAN: Most areas in the upper parts of the country are in the grips of dense fog restricting while cold and dry weather is forecast across of the country during the next 12 hours.

The fog has restricted the visibility in Multan and surrounding areas lesser than 30 meters and a flight from Jeddah due to land in the city was diverted to Lahore due to restricted visibility conditions.

Dense fog has also restricted visibility in Shorkot and surroundings and Dunyapur and surroundings to zero.

Light rain and snowfall over the hills is forecast at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Foggy conditions are expected to continue over plain areas of Punjab and Sindh during night and morning hours.

The temperatures recorded last night temperatures recorded at various cities were: Islamabad and Rawalpindi 6 degrees centigrade, Muzaffarabad one degree, Lahore 10, Karachi 13, Peshawar 7, Quetta minus 1, Gilgit minus 2 and Murree minus 5 degree centigrade.
