Commissioner Karachi Warns Strict Action Against Hike in Milk Price

KARACHI: Following the failure of the talks between commissioner Karachi and dairy farm association over the price of milk, the commissioner ordered prices of milk will not be increased till July 17and violators would be dealt with iron hands.

According to details, the standoff between commissioner Karachi and dairy farm association yet not over and nothing was decided over the increase in milk prices as association representatives refused to withdrawal addition in milk prices while commissioner warned strict action.

Talking to media after the talks, commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalwani said the prices of milk would not be increased till July 17and strict action will be taken against the violator.

“We have heard all the demands of all stakeholders and now the prices will set after the consultation by the third party,” he said.

On the other hand, dairy and cattle farms association president Shakir Gujjar refusing to accept orders of the commissioner Karachi said that increase in milk prices done after the price hike and they are being forced to withdraw the decision, however, the decision would not be taken back at any cost.
