FAISALABAD: A committee has been set up to probe an incident that left PML-N leader Tallal Chaudry injured in mysterious circumstances, local police said Sunday.
According to police, the four-member committee will record statements of both Chaudry and a woman lawmaker who is said to be involved in the incident.
The committee was directed to submit an inquiry report within three days.
Later in the day, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abdul Khaliq said that Chaudry has been discharged from the hospital but the hospital staff have failed to produce a discharge slip.
ASP Khaliq is heading the fact-finding committee to probe the incident.
He said that a statement from Chaudry regarding the incident will soon be obtained.
