Complete Shutdown Observed Consecutively On Second Day in IOK

Occupied Kashmir: Complete shutdown observed consecutively on second day in Indian held Kashmir against the Indian designs to change demography of the territory by revoking Articles 35-A and 370 of the Indian Constitution.

Call for the strike has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership and supported by various political parties and organizations in the valley, including Jamaat-e-Islami, Kashmir Centre for Social and Development Studies and Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

All shops and business establishments remained close. Indian forces’ personnel have been deployed in strength across the valley.

It is worth mentioning that Supreme Court of India has listed the pleas against the two articles on Wednesday and Thursday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik made it clear that India would not be able to break the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom through such tactics.

Earlier yesterday (Tuesday), Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one more Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district yesterday. The youth identified as, Hilal Ahmad Rathar, was killed during a violent cordon and search operation in Ratnipora area of the district.

A residential house was also blasted by the troops during the operation. The killing triggered forceful anti-India demonstrations in the area. The authorities snapped mobile internet service and suspended train service in South Kashmir.

Thousands of mourners braving the biting cold thronged Ratnipora, the native village of martyr Hilal Ahmad Rathar to participate in his last rites. Multi-rounds of funeral prayers were held for the martyred youth. Hilal was buried amid high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.
