ISLAMABAD: An important meeting of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) held on Thursday (today) which reviewed overall performance of the vital anti-corruption body.
The meeting was held in the NAB headquarter in Islamabad headed by its Chairman justice (retd) Javeed Iqbal.
Addressing the huddle the NAB Chairman justice (retd) Javeed Iqbal said that corrupt elements, absconders and proclaimed offenders will be brought to justice.
Chairman justice (retd) Javeed Iqbal vowed that looted money will be recovered from the corrupt peoples and will be transferred to national exchequer.
After the meet the NAB in its press release said that the anti-corruption body has received as many as 408431 complaints since its inception.
Of which, 14069 investigated while 9400 inquiries and 4122 have been approved for prob.
The NAB arrested at least 3813 people and filed 3488 references as well, the NAB added.
As many as 1219 references of worth 895 Billion rupees are in courts for hearing.
