ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has said that corruption is a root cause of all bad deeds and a major huddle in the development of the country.
According to the details, the NAB chairman chaired a huddle of executive board meeting wherein deputy Chairman, prosecutor general, operations and prosecution officials in attendance.
Talking at the occasion the Chairman anti-graft body said that the corruption is the menace which is a huddle in the country’s development adding that the NAB is striving hard to recover looted and plundered wealth from the corrupt elements while he elaborated that they recovered as many as Rs 71 billion in a brief time of last 22 months.
He said that the graft-buster body is strictly following the accountability for all policy while he added that as many as 59 percents of Pakistani expressed trust on the NAB in a survey conducted by the Gallup and Gillani.
The Chairman NAB directed in the course of the meeting that inquiries and investigations be completed on time.
