LAHORE: Central Punjab President of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that corruption always been used as a card in the country while unfortunately it always been conducted in financial matters.
Addressing a conference in memory of Asma Jehangir in Lahore, he said that the stories of financial corruption was existed at the time of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah adding that after the demise of the founder of the nation and murder of the first premier of the country Liaquat Ali Khan democratic process stopped in the country.
Qamar Zaman Kaira has stressed the need to change a lot of institutions of the state and their attitude adding that we are unhappy with the judiciary, military, police and all other institutions.
He said that dictators bring laws of their choice and in every martial law judiciary gave the way for the dictator so that he could make a law of his choice adding that attitude of real rulers’ dominance in politics.
The senior PPP leader said that the 18th amendment has not been swallowing to a lot of people while legislation in our era was conducted with consensus.
