Counsels Directed Final Arguments In Bail Pleas Of Khawaja Brothers

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday directed to give final arguments in the bail petitions of Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Salman Rafique.

The LHC two-member bench in the chair of Justice Ali Baqar Najafi heard the bail petitions of Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Salman Rafique.

Over query of the bench, Khawaja brothers counsel Amjad Pervez informed the bench that no reference has been filed yet against the Khawaja brothers.

The counsel contended that the accusations on the Khawaja brother are useless adding that they showed all the details in the tax returns.

On the other hand, anti-corruption body counsel argued that the pieces of evidence have been found regarding money transfer in the accounts of the Khawaja brothers while they also conducted fraud with masses in the Paragon housing society.

On the court query, the NAB informed the court it received 68 citizens’ complaints while the court adjourned the hearing in the proceeding until May 27.
