Countries agree to boost search, relief missions for Rohingya Muslims

Conference attended by 17 countries held in Bangkok, Thailand made agreement to boost search and relief activities for crisis-hit Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.

Foreign news agency reported that the conference emphasised discussion over basic issues of Rohingya Muslims suffering deteriorated situation in Myanmar.

The conference was attended by officials of 17 countries and agreement was made to provide assistance to Rohingya expatriates stranded in mid-sea.

Earlier, Turkey provided aid for 8,000 Rohingya Muslims who were given temporary refuge by Indonesia and Malaysia last week.
