Peshawar (October 12, 2018): A married couple was gunned down when a shootout broke out between relatives over loud music being played during a wedding on the outskirts of Peshawar on Thursday.
The victims have been identified as Saqib and Komal, who are both residents of the Hazar Khwani village.A police official said the dispute started by relatives of Shahzeb, the man whose wedding ceremony was marred by the armed clash. The relatives were arguing over lowering sound of the music played at the event, he added.
In a fit of rage, one of the relatives opened fire, resulting in the other side also firing back.Authorities say that Saqib’s father, who has been identified as Sherzada, along with Rehman were also seriously injured.
They were taken to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH). Local police said that Rehman is believed to be the one who opened fire based on the initial investigation.
