Islamabad: An Accountability Court hearing the Thatha water supply reference on Wednesday decided to indict the main accused in the case Asif Ali Zardari through a video link after the accused once again expressed refusal to appear before the court citing his health conditions.
The AC Islamabad Judge Azam Khan heard the Thatha water supply reference.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman and main accused of the case refused to appear before the court citing his various ailments and the global pandemic coronavirus like previous.
To which, the court decided to indict the accused through a video link for which the court ordered the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to do arrangments for the video link on the next hearing.
A co-accused in the order of the Thatha water supply reference, Ashfaq Leghari, declared proclaimed offender and separated from the case by Judge Azam Khan. The Judge will hear Ashfaq Leghari separately now.
The Court adjourned the hearing until August 4 and summoned all the accused on the day.
