LAHORE: An anti-corruption court on Friday extended the interim bails of Malik Riaz and seven others in a land grabbing case.
Anti-corruption court’s judge Justice Bahadur Ali Khan heard a case on petitions filed by Bahria Town’s owner Malik Riaz and seven others seeking an extension in interim bails in a case pertaining to grabbing 47 acres of government’s land for a housing society.
Riaz’s counsel told the court that he hasn’t grabbed any land illegally. He requested the court extend Riaz and others interim bails as his clients feared to be arrested by the anti-corruption department.
The court then extended their interim bails till April 2.
