Court Grants Bail To PML-N Leader Amir Muqam’s Son

PESHAWAR: An Anti-Corruption court of Peshawar on Tuesday granted bail to Ishtiaq Muqam, son of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Amir Muqam, who was under-arrest over corruption charges.

Anti-Corruption court Judge Syed Kamal Hasnain heard on bail pleas of Ishtiaq Muqam and his cousin blamed for committing corruption in Shangla-Alpuri road project.

After hearing arguments of parties to the case, the court approved bail pleas of both accused, ordering them to furnish bail bonds worth Rs0.5 million each.

Moreover, the Anti-Corruption court also directed release of under-arrest NHA officials on bail.

On this occasion, PML-N Peshawar Chapter spokesperson was quoted saying that the case imposed on party stalwart’s son was ‘fake and political’.

Commenting on the court’s decision of granting bail to Ishtiaq and his cousin, he said that truth and facts prevailed.
