KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Karachi has issued directives of arresting seven runaway suspects including the founder of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and producing all accused before the court on double murder charges.
The court on Monday took up the case pertaining to killing of two members of Pak Sarzameen Party at political party’s town office near Rizvia area of Karachi.
During the hearing, police claimed that one of the accused had confessed that the members of PSP were murdered on orders of MQM’s founder.
The absconders include MQM-London’s Asif Hasnain, Arif Pasha and Bisma Naz and four others.
ATC then issued arrest warrants of all the nominated suspects and sought their production before the court at the earliest.
The court adjourned hearing till August 03, concluding that all escapees will be declared “proclaimed offenders” in the next hearing of the case.
