ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court of Islamabad, which was supposed to announce its reserved verdict on Babar Awan’s acquittal plea today (Monday), delayed its announcement owing to judge’s absence.
As per details garnered, AC Judge Arshad Malik did not appear at the courtroom due to which the hearing was adjourned against senior politician Babar Awan in Nandipur power project reference.
Next hearing of the case will take place on May 22 where Judge Arshad Malik will announce the reserved judgement.
It is to be noted that the decision announcement on acquittal plea has faced delay for the second time.
Earlier on April 20, Babar Awan filed a plea seeking acquittal in Nandipur Power Project Reference.
On the other hand, AC has summoned Former Federal Minister Naveed Qamar and Khawaja Asif to give their testimonies in the case.
