Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar has said that country is on path of development due to the government’s positive policies adding that China Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC) projects can be funded through Islamic Banking.
Addressing a ceremony of world Islami Forum the minister said that as he assumed his office as minister ordered State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to work on Islamic banking adding that Islamic Development Bank (IDB) cooperated with Pakistan for Islamic Banking.
The minister said that the government established centers of Islamic finance adding that there is need of removing issues pertaining to the Islamic Banking.
Ishaq Dar said that Islamic Banking system is the best for all reason while he urged that there is need to work in right direction for the Islamic Banking. The minister also stressed Islamic banks to invest on basic structure for strengthening the banks.
He said that for every aspect Islamic monetary system is just and alternative monetary system adding that from the banking poverty can be removed. The minister poverty can be removed through the system via providing loans on small and large scale.
Dar said that it is our obligation to promote the banking. He also stressed that modern research is needed to promote the banking adding that if worked in right direction than success is must.
