QUETTA: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project would prove to be beginning of a new era in the development of Balochistan.
Addressing passing out parade of Baloch recruits of Pakistan Army in Quetta on Monday, the Chief of Army Staff said that Pakistan was their home and they were guardian of its sanctity.
He said that the armed force would not hesitate from rendering any kind of sacrifices for the protection of the country.”Our enmity is with the enemies of Pakistan and our doors are always open for those Baloch brothers who were misguided by the enemy.”
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that development of Balochistan was topmost priority of the Government.
“Balochistan is the largest province of the country and is bestowed with immense resource and capable human resource. These resources would open new vistas of development for progress and prosperity of the province in future,” he added.
The Army Chief said improvement of law and order in Balochistan was also priority of the Government and Pakistan Army, together with other institutions, was extending cooperation for the purpose.
He said that some elements were trying to create hurdles in the way of bright future of the province. He said these are anti-state elements and people of Balochistan have rejected them.
He expressed the confidence that terrorists would face nemesis because of patriotism of people of Balochistan.
