KARACHI: Sindh Government has decided to initiate a crackdown against those who illegally use official government cars for other domestic purposes and those using fancy car number plates.
According to details, a meeting was held in the province headed by Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah where the chief minister expressed agitation over the murder that occurred in Karachi’s area PECHS.
Addressing the Police Chief Dr Amir Sheikh, Murad Ali Shah said, “You seem helpless when it comes to keeping matters of street crimes and target killing under the control. We do not want to get involved in Police matters, only worried over its progress”.
On this occasion, Additional IG Karachi responded that the matter [PECHS murder case] was under investigation and a report will be compiled on the matter very soon.
In this meeting, CM Sindh issued orders of integrated checking across the city, and that too to be carried out in such a way that the flow of traffi does not get affected by it.
It was finalised in the meeting that the provincial government will enrage a crackdown against illegal use of government cars and fancy plates.
