Cricket Legend Javed Miandad Turns 60 Today

Karachi (June 12, 2017): Pakistani cricket legend Javed Miandad is celebrating his 60th birthday today.

The right-hand great batsman was born on June 12, 1957 in Karachi. He scored 163 in his Test debut and his batting average never dipped below 50 runs.

Miandad got the honor of representing Pakistan at first Cricket World Cup in 1975 before his 18th birthday. A year later in his Test Debut at Karachi he played a magnificent inning of 163 runs and scored a century in the third Tes.

Javed piled up 8,832 runs in 124 Test matches with the help of 23 centuries and 43 half-centuries. Javed best score was 280 runs not out against India.

He scored 7,381 runs in 233 One Day International matches with the help of eight centuries and 50 fifties.

Pakistan played 34 Test matches under Javed’s leadership of which 14 were won and only six were lost while the remaining 14 were a draw.

Javed captained 62 ODIs for Pakistan of which 26 were won , 33 were lost while one was a tie and two were incomplete.
