MURREE: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab has killed a ‘dangerous terrorist’ in a shoot out near Murree, who was allegedly planning to carry out attacks on media houses.
Sources said that the CTD conducted a raid in Murri’s Sanja area. During the action, the alleged terrorists opened fire on the CTD team, which was retaliated. In the retaliatory firing one of the terrorists was killed while his two accomplices managed to flee.
The CTD officials said that the slain ‘terrorist’ was indented as Ehsan Satti who was reportedly a member of Daesh.
The officials claimed that the accused was planning to carry out attack on media houses in Rawalpindi. Police recovered bomb devices and prohibited literature from the possession of the accused.
The CTD team has started search operation to apprehend the accomplices of the slain terrorist.
On the other hand, police in a raid in the surrounding areas of River Chenab arrested eight accused including a wanted fugitive and recovered arms for their possession.
