LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department has killed five terrorists of banned outfit in an encounter in Chotibala, area of Dera Ghazi Khan.
According to the details, CTD conducted a targeted operation on a tip off in the wee hours of Sunday in Chotibala. As the CTD personnel reached in the area, terrorists opened fire on them and resultantly five terrorists were killed and their four accomplices managed to flee.
CTD officials said that two of the deceased terrorists were identified as Kamran and Tehseen. The two terrorist had escaped form police custody on Friday.
Four hand-grenades, four rifles and two 9MM pistols were recovered from their possession. The officials said that the terrorists were planning to hit sensitive installation. The bodies were shifted to morgue for postmortem. Police registered a case and launched investigations.
