Karachi: As many as five hardcore terrorists including two suicide bombers belonging to defunct Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) arrested in a joint operation of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh and Rangers Intelligence.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) CTD, Umar Shahid Hamid in a presser informed that suicide vests, ammunition, police constumes, a map of police training center Saeedabad and other untensils recovered from the possession of the terrorists.
Umar Shahid Hamid apprised that the terrorist had a plan to attack Saeedabad police center on the line of Police training center Manawa. While he said that the operation has been continued for several days which concluded last night.
Colonel of Rangers Shabbir informed that investigation against the group had been continued for long time and a bigger success has been made after arrest of the terrorists. The ring leader of the group Sheraz Akbar having afghan passport and many times have travelled to Pakistan.
The DIG CTD said that the terrorist wanted to attack Saeedabad police training center just like the attack on Manawa police training center and they had conducted recce for the purpose. Arrested terrorists have revealed their involvement in the six big terrorists activities in different areas of the country which included attack on law enforcement agencies.
