CWC 19: India Win Toss, Opt to Bat First Against Windies

MANCHESTER: India won the toss and opted to bat first against the West Indies in the 34th match of the ICC World Cup 2019 at the Old Trafford in Manchester.

After successfully defended a below-par score against Afghanistan on Saturday, India will hope to maintain their winning streak when they take on Jason Holder’s side.

Meanwhile West Indies, with mathematical permutations still giving them an outside chance for a semi-final berth, will aim to pull off a complete performance against an in-form Indian side.

India: Virat Kohli (c), Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, MS Dhoni (wk),  Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya,  KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Vijay Shankar, Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav

West Indies: Jason Holder (c), Chris Gayle, Kemar Roach,  Sunil Ambris, Shai Hope, Sheldon Cottrell,   Carlos Brathwaite,  Shimron Hetmyer, Fabian Allen, Oshane Thomas, Nicholas Pooran
