ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Sunday directed Chairman, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) Zafar Hijazi to take immediate measures for implementation of newly-introduced Companies Ordinance 2016.
He was talking to a delegation of Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan led by its chairman Zafar Hijazi who called on him in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, Dar said that with introduction of Companies Ordinance, 2016, Pakistan was now standing at par with developed jurisdictions.
The new Companies Ordinance, 2016 has replaced the 32 years old Companies Ordinance, 1984. The minister directed the SECP to ensure implementation of the new law.
