Karachi (April 26, 2018): The former finance minister Ishaq Dar expressed dissatisfaction over the way the tax amnesty was launched and said that people will not repose trust on it.
Talking to Abbtakk Program “Benaqab”, former finance minister was also seemed unhappy over currency devaluation decision and said that it was not in Pakistan’s interest as it would ignite inflation and cost heavily to the country.

Setting aside foreign pressure over devaluation, Dar said Pakistan should not conceive pressure from abroad as government has not take any pressure in past and even would not need in future.
“Whatever the reasons behind the devaluation I can’t answer, however government should not come under any pressure in this connection,” he said adding that currency devaluation was leaving negative impacts on economy and it should be get in order as soon as possible.
Replying to a query Ishaq Dar said that he would not present budget more than two months had he finance minister.
