Day 1: Pakistan Bowled Out On 240 by Australia

BRISBANE:  Pakistan has been bowled out on 240 runs in the opening day of first Test against Australia.

Earlier, the visitors had frustrated the Australian pace attack in the first session, going into lunch at 57-0 with openers Azhar Ali and Shan Masood unbeaten on 28 and 21 respectively.

But later on, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins led an Australian fightback as Pakistan lost five wickets for just 19 runs after lunch.

Asad Shafiq and Yasir Shah with their solid partnership helped Pakistan to set a competitive total of 240 runs.

Pakistani captain Azhar Ali won the toss and decided to bat first.
