Deadlock persists over military courts

ISLAMABAD: A deadlock between the government and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on military courts still persisted as the meeting between Law Minister Zahid Hamid and PPP delegation remained fruitless.

The meeting was conducted in speaker’s chamber. The dialogues failed as PPP refused to withdraw its nine points. PPP leaders presented its nine points on 28th constitutional amendment.

PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan confirmed that the deadlock between the government and his party still persisted as the Centre reluctant to accept their demands. He said that both parties were agreed to continue the dialog process.

Aitzaz Ahsan refused to discuss on certain points. He was of the view that their nine points are a package deal and the government will have to talk on all the points.
