ISLAMABAD: The ministry for Energy claimed on Thursday that the decrease in line losses and an increase in the selling of electricity were reported in the current fiscal year.
According to the data released by the ministry in July mentioned that in the first month of the fiscal year 2019-20 Rs 19.95 billion recoveries has been made while the line losses diminished by 1.46 per cent while the selling has been increased by three per cent.
It also mentioned that power division has made record receiving and decrease losses.
Data released by the ministry stated that the bills worth Rs 156 billion has been issued and Rs 136 billion received while the power distributing companies distributed 390.40 million units among the users.
The drive against the power theft more intensified and over five thousands power theft cases sent to police and registered 1847 FIR against power thieves.
