KARACHI: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Wednesday said that the decline of Rs6 per one US dollar has caused a loss of Rs600 billion to the country’s economy in one day and is a new record of the incompetence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) led federal government.
Addressing to a press conference Murtaza Wahab said that the hike in dollar’s price of Rs6 in one day is a new record of the failure of the federal government.
He recalled the speeches of Imran Khan and said, “The premier used to say that the decline in the price of a dollar by Rs1 causes a loss of Rs100 billion to the country’s economy and according to that statistics we have faced a loss of Rs600 billion today.”
“The federal government has accepted that they have acquired more loans than the previous governments,” he added.
“Police Act-2019 has been enacted in the province since yesterday,” he further added.
“Imran should come out of the 1992 world cup, should accept his mistakes and take the opposition on board,” he concluded.
